Marily
Glyptis Kanellakis
Marily was born in Athens, in Paleo Psychiko and attended Arsakeion school. She studied Economics at City University in London and has a Master's degree in Bank Privatisation and in Finance. She worked for Merrill Lynch in England, for the Athens 2004 Organizing Committee, Proton Bank and the Maritime company Genesis Seatrading Corp.
Marily from a young age used to organize parties and dinners at her home with great success and she had the luck of being invited to some of the most successful parties with excellent decorations in Greece and abroad.
While living and studying in London for years, she was influenced by art and Art de la Table. Setting up an event can become an art work. In essence, not only do you organize an event or a dinner, but mostly you decorate it. It is then that the role of a good hostess is most evident and appreciated, her ability to create, to be inspired and to see her vision materialise.
This is her first book on L' Art de la Table, published by Fereniki publications in collaboration with Christofle Hellas.
